BEST TOUR OPERATOR 2009 AWARD OF MONGOLIAN TOURISM ASSOCIATION
Selena Travel won the biggest award in Mongolian tourism field for its outstanding effort and achivement in developing responsible & sustainable tourism in the country and promoting Mongolia effectively as a tourism destination in the world tourism market since 1998. Selena Travel is a big good example of Mongolian tour operators. We were honoured to receive the Best Tour Operator 2009 award from Mongolia's top tourism organization "Mongolian Tourism Board" on 28 December 2009.
The trophy was handed by Mr. Bayarsaikhan, MP and the President of Mongolian Tourism Association, at the New Year party jointly organized by Mongolian Tourism Association and Mongolian Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism. Selena Travel LLC was recognised for their hard work and achievement on developing resposinble tourism in Mongolia and creating a sample of community based, environment and culture friendly tourism in the amazing Gun-Galuut nature reserve.
Mongolian Tourism Association is the leading authority on tourism and hospitality issues in Mongolia. Established in 1992, the MTA has today over 100 members that represent the best of Mongolia's tour operators, accommodations and restaurants.

BEST FOR CONSERVATION OF CULTURAL HERITAGES AWARD VIRGIN HOLIDAY RESPONSIBLE TOURISM AWARDS 2009
“In 2004 Mongolian inbound operator Selena Travel worked with the nomadic community in Tuv to found and establish a nomadic cultural festival, recognised by the Mongolian Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism in 2006. The festival, which would not exist without tourism, fosters the local culture. Selena Travel has worked with the nomads to develop itineraries around Gun-Galuut making a significant difference to local livelihoods”
Selena Travel LLC has won in the Best for Conservation of Cultural Heritage category at this year's Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Awards organised by responsibletravel.com. At a ceremony hosted at World Travel Market (WTM), Docklands, London, on Wednesday 11th November, the Awards were handed out by Justin Francis, managing director of responsibletravel.com, organisers and founders of the Awards, and Amanda Wills, managing director of Virgin Holidays, headline sponsor of the Awards. Selena Travel Group president Mr.Batbold travelled to London, UK to collect the award at the prestigious awarding ceremony on 11 November 2009.

SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS 2006 AWARD OF THE CENTRAL MONGOLIAN DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
We have received the top award - “Socially Responsible Business -2006” from Central Mongolian Development Agency (CMDA) for our conservation work and achievements on developing environment friendly and community based tourism in Bayandelger, Tuv province. We have sustainably and successfully working with local authorities and community for 6 years and contributed greatly to the community development, income and local budget. CMDA is a reputable non-government organization that supports the development of private sectors and maintaining the public and private partnership. The aim of this award is to reward the best company and individual who supports the rural sustainable development, local infrastructure and budget as well as the local community.

BEST TOUR OPERATOR 2005 AWARD OF THE SKAL INTERNATIONAL ECOTOURISM AWARDS
This is the first time a Mongolian company receives this honored award and it was given to Selena Travel as a prize of their efforts and achievements on founding a new ecotourism destination “Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve” in Bayandelger soum, Tuv province, conservation of globally endangered species and developing environment friendly – community based tourism in the nature reserve.
Selena Travel LLC received “Best Tour Operators / Travel Agent” award from the 2005 Skel International Ecotourism Awards. The winners were announced on 17 October 2005 during the 66th Skal Congress (https://www.skal.org) opening ceremony in Zagreb, Croatia. This is the first time a Mongolian company receives this honored award and it was given to Selena Travel as a prize of their efforts and achievements on founding a new ecotourism destination “Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve” in Bayandelger soum, Tuv province, conservation of globally endangered species and developing environment friendly – community based tourism in the nature reserve.
