The Mongolians have the beautiful traditional festivals and celebrations that they have kept for centuries. These include the fantastic Naadam Festival and Tsagaan Sar (White Month) Celebration. Nowadays, several fantastic new festivals such as the Nomads' Day Festival, Ice Festival and Camel Festival etc are initiated by some very creative Mongols to preserve traditional Mongolian heritage. We enlist the most important events in 2011, and the events are listed in their date order.

The nomads of Mongolia have celebrated several holidays namely; Tsagaan Sar lunar new year and the Great Naadam over the millennia and now some of them are celebrated as festivals such as the Great Naadam festival ranked as the 6th biggest festival in the world. Today Mongolia has many public holidays: Independence Day, Women’s Day, Naadam Festival, Lunar New year, Children’s Day and Nauryz (of the Kazakhs) to name a few.
