Our national team of eight eagle-hunters, led by the head of the Department for Environment and Tourism of Bayan-Olgii aimag participated in the Third International Festival of Falconry, which ran recently in Abu Dhabi for the 3rd International Falconry Festival which was taken place in last 13 – 13th of December 2014.
The participation of our team, who opened a ceremony parade of falconers and trackers of 77 countries, was eased by this country government's financing. The gathered brought their hawks and eagles to attend various kinds of falconry activities at a desert camp.
The Mongolian eagles have been catching the eyes of the audience and fellow falconers by their relatively larger bodies and majesty. This year’s champion of Mongolian eagle festival N.Aisholpan attended this festival with her father. She is going to be filmed in January next year in a documentary by the US producers, who saw her in Mongolia this October while shooting the Mongolian Eagle Festival. The Mongolian falconry and eagle-hunting have already been registered to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list. /Text is provided by Montsame/
