Lake Huvsgul, the second largest freshwater lake in the world after Lake Baikal in Buryatia, is popular for its pure water, awesome Alpine-like landscapes, wonderful wildlife and the different ethnic people living around it. Lake Huvsgul region is a destination in itself and an entire tour could be devoted to this specific part of Mongolia.

Khorgo-Terkh National Park is one of the most beautiful national parks in Mongolia with its crystal clear Terkh Lake and the Khorgo Volcano. The nature beauty is awesome here and is a great place for hiking, horse riding and relaxing. You can visit the Hell of Yellow Dog, Ice Hole and the Youth Cave that are pretty impressive!

The city of Karakorum: In 1220 great Chinghis Khaan declared it as the capital city of his vast Empire. Today there are many interesting sites left to visit; the legendary turtle rock sculptures, Buddhist stupas and the ruins of this once great city to name a few.

Erdenezuu was the first Buddhist monastery in the Mongolian Empire. It was established in 1586. The monastery has a massive square wall, 420 meters in length each side, a total of 108 Stupas and 17 temples. Today Erdenezuu monastery still shows its glory with collections of many priceless religious objects and incredibly beautiful Mongolian arts.
Hustai National Park is the place where the wild Takhi- Przewalski horses have lived peacefully since 1993 when they were reintroduced to their native land Mongolia. Here we can view and photograph these beautiful wild horses at pasture and Red Deer, Wolf, Asian Marmot, various species of waterfawls & prey birds.

  • un 06, 2007. North and Central Mongolian Explorer It is almost a week that we have been at home and still I am feeling the amaizing vibrations of Mongolia. You have a stunning land, so coloured, so romantic, in spite of the so bumpy roads, I am crazy about the combinations of the varied landscapes, the open steppes, the so touchable people, the melodies and animals and flowers that were greeting us all over. Every day of the journey was like a magic for me and I know for sure that it is only the first time and I will come again. I want to thank you again for being so proffesional, I was so glad to meet you such a delicate person, I am glad that I made my travel in Mongolia with you. Keep doing what you are doing in the same devotion.

  • Hi Selena Travel, I take the opportunity to repeat and underline what we already wrote on the feedback fothe end of our journey, in the beginning of august: "All of the members of the team who accompanied us on our tour in Mongolia are amongst the most wonderful people we ever met: apart from being highly professional, they all became real friends, so that are Mongolian journey became a most unique and unforgettable experience. " Whatever we asked, whatever needed to be done, all team members always stood ready to do more than their best to make things go right ; their dedication was really beyond compare. "Thanks to all team members, we have had the opportunity to get a really fantastic impression of your country; Mongolia should be proud of such "ambassadors". "All 3 drivers' skills deserve a very special mention: had it not been to the exceptional ability, both in driving and in mechanics, of Sodoo, Batcha and Baska, some parts of our tour would not have been possible to make; of course, this does not detract anything from the merits of the other team members, each for his or her own part of the job.
