What
is bird watching? Birdwatchers observe
wild birds in their natural habitat. Birdwatching
means learning to identify the birds and understand
what they are doing. People of all ages watch
birds. It's an activity you can keep doing all
your life, in any part of the world. Birding
is the fastest-growing outdoor activity in the
world. Birds have always delighted people all
over the world because of their beauty and their
power of flight. Historically, they used to
be considered omens. The ancient Romans believed
that the flights and calls of birds could foretell
the future. Today, modern science still uses
birds as a kind of oracle. Changes in bird populations
can reflect the health of the environment. Some
birds are indicator species, like the Golden
Eagle. They forecast environmental conditions.
The knowledge of birds can help us plan a better,
more sustainable relationship with nature. Our
bird watching tours are about wild birds and
the sport of birding. It's for everyone who's
interested in birdwatching and enjoying nature.
Birding can be one of the quieter and more relaxing
outdoor activities. However, birders who are
keen rarity-seekers will travel long distances
to see a new species to add to the list of birds
they have personally observed. Mongolia is a
heaven for bird watchers and nature lovers with
its great recourse for bird watching on lakes,
rivers, forests, steppes and deserts. Bird watching
in Mongolia is unforgettable as the country
has over 425 bird species including many rare
species of cranes, swans, geese, eagles, hawks,
falcons and many more. Early morning is typically
the best time of the day for birding since many
birds are active searching for food, and thus
are easier to find and observe. Success in locating
the more interesting species typically requires
detailed knowledge of their appearance, sounds,
behavior, and most likely habitat, in addition
to stealth and patience. Birding in Mongolia
is quite famous for bird watchers and keen birders
come to Mongolia to take their lifetime bird
watching tours. Selena Travel offers different
long and short Mongolia bird watching tours
and our bird watching trips are highly praised
by birders. Come and take our birding tours
and watch Mongolian birds!
